My name is Jessie and I administer the Southwest Virginia Astronomy Facebook group and you may know me from my old site astronerd.tech. I stopped running that site because the domain name renewal got more expensive than I could afford from a site that I don’t make money from.

With this site I hope to bring astronomy news, tutorials, articles, local event awareness, and general astronomical enthusiasm to our beautiful home in the mountains.
